SwiftKey Keyboard support to end soon

Microsoft has decided to end the support services of SwiftKey Keyboard for iOS. When asked about the future of SwiftKey Software Keyboard, Microsoft declared that it will end its services for iOS in the first week of October. Infact, it will be removed from the apple store as well and won’t be available for downloading.

Microsoft clarified that the SwiftKey keyboard software will continue to work for the android. But the iOS users have to find alternatives for the same. Microsoft purchased SwiftKey Keyboard along with its technology in 2016 both for android and iOS for about $20 millions. And the most recent update for iOS came in mid 2021.

Although Apple added all the third party keyboard features to the iOS way back in 2014. Apple wouldn’t let the users, who are using SwiftKey keyboard, use this keyboard on certain applications. For instance, the third party keyboards won’t let you enter a password or passcode in iOS. Along with that, you won’t be able to unlock the phone with any third party keyboard application
