Kerlink has announced that three of its IoT gateways now support Helium’s peer-to-peer LoRaWAN network and cyber mining. The IoT gateways now support the People’s network, a global network launched by Helium that provides long-range and low-power wireless coverage for LoRaWAN-enabled IoT sensors and devices.
The People’s Network is significant in combining the Helium Blockchain and the LoRaWAN routing software. It expanses the reach of the device and provide connectivity for low-power sensors and devices. Kerlink’s gateway would also support the mining of the native cryptocurrency. The HNT Token would be handed full services by Kerlink to ensure the robustness of the network while generating value.
“Embedding a Helium Network-miner-compatible software within our gateway portfolio is another step toward diversification of Kerlink’s equipment possibilities, and shows how our ongoing investment in R&D enables the company to respond quickly to evolving applications and innovative uses of LoRaWAN networks,” said Yannick Delibie, President and CEO of Kerlink Americas.
The CEO of Kerlink claimed that the company’s ability to integrate new features like Helium’s blockchain technology helps ensure an established algorithm that can verify that whether the Hotspots are redirecting signals to their location or not. IoT gateways demand is ever increasing and we could see the industry grow further steps before even contemplating a downfall. The implications of IoT on the tech sector are imminent and here to stay.
