Galaxy Z Fold 3 will Support a Stylus

Samsung foldable supports an S Pen stylus. FCC filings for the S Pen Pro, a bigger version of the S Pen with Bluetooth connectivity that Samsung announced in January, have been made public. The announcement also reveals that the upcoming stylus will work with the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

FCC documents becoming public can indicate that a product may be announced soon after they are published. In this case, an official announcement for the S Pen sometime soon would make sense, as Samsung has held summer Unpacked events in early August for the past few years. Blass already stated that this year’s event is scheduled for August 11th, alongside revealing a bunch of other devices that are expected to be revealed at the show, including the Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Fold 3, two new Galaxy Watches, and new Galaxy Buds.

On display are the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, which Blass previously shared pics of in late June; the Galaxy S21 FE, Samsung’s follow-up to the solid sub-$700 phone that was glimpsed in April; the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic smartwatches that were leaked recently, too; and the Galaxy Buds 2, the latest addition to the company’s growing range of wireless earbuds.

Earlier this year, Samsung confirmed that it will not launch new Galaxy Note series smartphones. DJ Koh, co-CEO of Samsung’s IT and Mobile Communications division said that the reason behind this is the shortage of chips and clash with the existing products.DJ Koh said that the Galaxy Note is an important product category to us that has been continuously loved by consumers for the past 10 years in the global market. The S Pen user experience is an area that Samsung’s mobile business has worked harder on than anybody else. The product launch timing may be different, but we will make sure that we don’t let Galaxy Note consumers down.
